Presented by The Hue Society, Wine & Culture Fest is the dopest wine festival dedicated to consumer education, brand awareness, industry advancement, and cultural experiences through the black lens. We host interactive sessions from industry mavens, tastings of fan favorites and rare selections, and premiere social events that unite our entire industry. Wine & Culture Fest advocates for economic inclusion and recognition by providing our community a safe space to learn and share experiences.

The Wine + Culture Festival will host two days at the Sunset Room in the National Harbor right outside of Washington DC.

We are excited to celebrate and pay homage to the many tables within the wine industry and our culture that has been built and expanded.

We will kick off these two days at the Sunset Room at The National Harbor. With an amazing DJ in the center of this expansive venue, vendors throughout the space, wine tastings, dancing, and toasting... this will be epic!

This is a vibe of cultural connections! Music, cuisine, and damn good wine will always be instrumental to our celebration, but The Family Picnic is our way of inspiring the community to expand their palate with new flavors and Black-owned brands. The Family Picnic is a melanin love affair that brings awareness and economic empowerment to those truly initiating change. Wine is complex, inclusion should not be!

Saturday, July 13 | 11 AM - 3 PM | National Harbor  - Sunset Room

Wine + Culture Fest Summit - Part 2

Saturday kicks off with two panels that study different aspects of business side of wine. Hear from industry leaders and pioneers from some of the largest wine producers and distributors in the industry. Hear the history of last year's #1 wine region from local winemakers while endulging in some of the best wines Virginia has to offer.

Saturday, July 13 | 6 PM - 11 PM  | National Harbor  - Sunset Room

As we continue celebrating at the Sunset Room, we will continue the popular and meaningful signature event  - R.I.C.E. (Rising In Community Everyday) Co-hosted by The Veraison Project and Oenoverse. Just as vineyards produce signature wines, almost every culture has its own style of cooking rice. Beyond the dinner table, some civilizations were created and sustained solely from harvesting grain; theories claim growing rice fosters more collaborative and interconnected cultures. In honor of the world’s deeply rooted rice heritage, R.I.C.E. is our weekend day festival where the wine industry and fellow enthusiasts celebrate our communities’ uniqueness through culinary art and experiences.

Also, we will host our annual Blind Tasting Competition for all to join for a friendly competition.

Sunday, July 14 | 11 am - 8 pm | National Harbor - Sunset Room

Roses and Rosé Awards Brunch - 11 am - 2 pm

The annual Roses and Rosé Awards Brunch is our tribute to the notable accomplishments of Black, brown, and indigenous professionals and contributors shaping the wine industry. Here, we celebrate and highlight our community of deserving trailblazers, newcomers, and innovators while furthering our mission to increase economic inclusion and representation. This groundbreaking awards experience is the first of its kind, setting a new standard.

Rose Lounge - 2 pm - 8 pm

The premiere stylish rosé centered event of the season! The Rosé Lounge is the Wine & Culture Fest’s highly anticipated finale, where looks, good vibes, and Rosé are served in abundance. The Rosé Lounge is a celebration that culminates a phenomenal weekend.
